A Lillii RNB Client Success Story

There are many great companies to work for in this competitive world of IT Consulting. When a global management and professional services company calls on you for a project for the top 50 companies for diversity, a multi-service broadband communications and entertainment company with over 6 million customers, --you answer. Lillii RNB did just that with one of our consultants, Maurice. Maurice is an Oracle Retail Point-of-Service (ORPOS) consultant who specializes on payments, tendering and device configuration. In 2015, he was initially slated for a 6-month assignment, but proved himself to be an invaluable asset to the client’s development team. Today, he still remains after 2 years. His motto is simple--hard work & dedication!

During his time there, Maurice has worked on many projects for this client, including an ORPOS upgrade. This included transferring client customizations to the newest version, and adding new customizations to the application. This allowed the client to take advantage of the newest features offered in the higher version. In addition, EMV was implemented which required changes to not only POS, but other applications. The changes made in the ORPOS Suite included Back Office and Central Office.

Maurice was also tasked with building the architecture needed for a semi-integrated payment environment, for the client. The application ran as a service on the Client machine. This provided secure communication between the ORPOS application, the Verifone payment devices; used for credit card capture and the payment gateway that provided payment authorization.

He also did PCI compliance work, which involved rules & regulations to secure credit card information. He built a P2PE application, which provides communication between the POS client and the Verifone Point application, that's running on the Verifone MX915. Clearly, Maurice did a lot of POS, Device, PCI and EMV work. As if that's not enough, now he's building utilities that will test an Ingenico device adapter. This application is designed to communicate with Ingenico devices (Ingenico owns close to 70% of the payment device market).
